Math Jazz — Mathias Bynens’s shizzle, y’all

Note: This site might seem inactive… That’s because it is. Don’t worry though, I’m still coding webpages and stuff! If you’re interested, I suggest you get a translator and head over to Qiwi; or you could just check the latest site we’ve been working on: Apotheek Goethals – Debrabandere. Enjoy!

The World’s Phattest Videos

It was when I first saw Norman Cook’s newest video (the one with the kittens!), I thought: This vid is so awesome it should really be added to my Cool Music Videos List. (My mind had to gasp for breath after thinking such a long sentence.) Alright, no problem… Until I realized I didn’t have such a list.

So here’s my collection of favourite music videos. I’m not really a MTV-watching kind of guy, so there are probably a lot of legendary vids I’m missing out on here. From those I do have seen, a selection:

Fatboy Slim feat. Bootsy Collins – The Joker
Having two dogs myself, I’m not too crazy about cats. But this video is just awesome. All those cute little kittens, aah… Gotta love the Fatboy Slim cat that makes its appearance in the ending part — the one on the turntable.
Michael Jackson – Thriller
Booyakasha, how long is this clip? What a storyline. What a great cast. Couldn’t be better. This video is probably better than some movies will ever be.
Basement Jaxx – Where’s Your Head At?
This vid is so psychedelic it’s causing Pitta Baainens© to have nightmares featuring those… erm… monkeys.
The White Stripes – The Hardest Button to Button
This one is very MixiN, which is never a bad thing.
Beastie Boys – Sabotage
Very eighties-styled video. All their material is great stuff. These guys never grow up, that’s what makes them so cool to watch and listen to.
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Can’t Stop
Funny!
Moby – Natural Blues
The Simplicity Itself.
Sum 41 – Hell Song
This video is so cool it could’ve been directed by M&P Productions.
Gorillaz – Clint Eastwood
Gorillaz is a bunch of non-existing comic creatures, that happen to produce weirdo music. How can you not like that?
Coldplay – The Scientist
Because some things just look better in reverse.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Pin
This one freaks Tineke — my older sister — out. She’s scared to death of that evil doll.
Mountaineers – Riven
I’ve only seen this video once or twice, must’ve been on a MTV late night rock music programme. The weird thing is: I can’t find anything about this song, not even the group’s website, so I might’ve dreamed all this. Or misspelled their name, I don’t know. As far as I remember, the video was an animation movie of a boy who always wanted to eat, so his parents gave him everything he wanted, but he ate way too much, and in the end he grew to be bigger than his own house, and he ate his parents. (Or something like that.) Anyone know what I’m talking ’bout?
DJ Format – We Know Something You Don’t Know
Ever seen a panda breakdance?
The Darkness – I Believe in a Thing Called Love
In fact, about all their videos kick ass. Incredibly funny stuff.
KoRn – Part of Me
The one with the bullet slash bee! Amazing, real fun to watch. Especially when the bullet returns to its starting point, passing all things it has just destroyed again: the glass of milk, the bowl of water, the television screen — it’s all still en train de breaking, meaning this entire video should only take one second to watch when not played in slow-motion. Wow!
Outkast – Roses
Andre 3000 and Big Boi get funnier by every video they make.
Daft Punk – Da Funk
You know, the one with the dog-faced boy. This clip, in fact, is one big conversation, with the actual song played in the background.

Musical quality wasn’t an argument in making this selection, although I happen to like most of the songs listed above as well as the video. I’d love to hear about your favourites and recommendations.

    Moby rocks. Period.

I don’t watch tv a lot, let alone having time to selectively watch video clips. But if you’re gonna talk about normal movies soon, page me :P

How about Aphex Twin – Come to Daddy? You can find it and many other excellent videos on sputnik7.com. (Said he, semi-spammingly. :))

To Clopin and all those Googlers who ended up on this page in search of that Joker video clip, you can view it in ASF format by clicking here.

Jan: That is one sick vid! Never seen it before though. And there’s a huge difference between sharing cool links and spamming a site. ;)

    Others I forgot:

    • Royksöpp – Eple
    • Junior Senior – Move Your Feet

Michael Jackson’s Thriller is so cool! I saw it a few days ago and man, I laughed! Haha, I keep laughing while thinking of it… Oh boy, those eyes, that make-up, the decor, everything is so great. But the best, of course, are the dance steps or how do you say that. His great dancing trademark. I just loved it.

I can’t believe no one mentioned “Add N to X — Plug me in”. Sexiest vid ever imo ;)

ANYTHING by the Gorillaz is awesome!! And those others actually aren’t bad choices, give or take. Well said, Mathias.
