Snuffelrock 2004
Yesterday, I went to Snuffelrock, to see Golden Green, Superdiesel and Daan.
Golden Green rocked my socks off, and gave me a good laugh too. (Quote, between two songs: We are a Palestine suicide command!
) They’re so funny. Even the lyrics are humorous as canned laughter:
Every day I fall in love
Every day I fall in love
Every day I fall in love with you
Every day I fall in love
Every day I fall in love
Every day I fall in love with you
Respect! Respect! Respect! Respect!
R-E-S-P-E-C-T! R-E-S-P-E-C-T! R-E-S-P-E-C-T! R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
Hahaha.
Then, after about an hour of sound-checking, Superdiesel played their set. They might not be as funny as Golden Green, but hey. Even though I only knew them by one song which I didn’t really like (Ticket naar de Zon), I thoroughly enjoyed their music. Oh, and Too Tuff from Sint Andries MC’s did the supporting act :) R.E.S.P.E.C.T. to that!
After another hour of waiting, I noticed Daan seems to make a point out of never entering the stage before the actual concert. Over halfway “his” first song of the evening, Housewife, he went up the stage, Werchter-style. Daan is one funny guy, too: after lighting his second cigarette, he performed Bridge Burner.
I had to be home by half past 1, so I didn’t see the whole concert, which is a pity. Even though the (first half of the) concert wasn’t as good as I thought it would be—my expectations were apparently too high—, I had a great time.

The name of the festival is kind of a reason not to go, but hey, if it was good for you, it’s fine by me.
:) is the name of the youth house here in Grembergen. I can assure you there wasn’t any sniffing of any kind involved.
I’m happy you enjoyed your evening! :D Dsjennick felt very sorry he couldn’t come… and I’ve killed a parent or two for my revenge
tja, je oogst wat je zaait.
Ah… I was wondering what significance Snuffel had. Sounds like fun… I went to a blues festival last night… I was out until nearly 4 am… it was good.
