Math Jazz — Mathias Bynens’s shizzle, y’all

Open House

I had a good time at this year’s open house at school. My hair got curled and painted blue, all in the same hour. Wow.

Photos are here.

Ok, I got couple of questions:

1.) For those of us less educated, what is open school day?

2.) And because I’m about to be driven mad trying to guess, how old are you? The pictures make it nearly impossible to guess.

Otherwise, it looks like the open school day was a lot of fun.

Luke: Yeah, I don’t know if “open school day” is proper English (I guess not), but it’s the day that parents visit the school and look around and stuff… (How’s that called in correct English then?)

    Oh and I’m 15, almost 16 :D

Lily: The design of the photos section is the default SPAM design :) I love it the way it is, but I might restyle it so that it matches the rest of this site…

we call it Parents day or Parents Teacher day …
Open Day might work…hmm…we just have meetings not always other stuff

    so you’re a baby? :-P

oh when i said more blue, i meant more blue in your hair

oh it might be nice when you click on a picture that it takes you to see the bigger view down at the bottom…as opposed to having to scroll…but that’s just me…i clicked for awhile and was a bit lost…i could be lacking food

More blue in my hair?!  I’m just too busy with design…

I agree with you on the scroll thingy, I’ll place the main photo on top and the thumbnails deep down and dirty at the bottom. Hell yeah.

    P.S.: Don’t call me baby! :crymeariver: ;)

Ah, now I understand. However, in my part of the country we call it Open House. Yeah, open house for the school…doesn’t make much sense, but you get the picture.

    15…I remember being that young…

Luke: Open House? That’s so weird! :silly:

Lily:  You forgot to encode the HTML tags, like < for < and > for >… Anyway, I fixed it now :)

I asked it to my English teacher today, and she *thinks* it’s “Open Doors Day”, but she admitted not to be too sure about that…

I spoke to one of the ladies on the newspaper staff and she’s from North Carolina and her school also called it “Open House” so it’s not just an Indiana thing (there are several of those…like anyone know what a “Hoosier” is?)

Anyway, I think they might call it something else out west, but they’re weird out there.

I was hoping to see you entire hair to be blue, not just a few strings. We never had fun open school days over here. I’m glad you had fun.
