Math Jazz — Mathias Bynens’s shizzle, y’all

Note: This site might seem inactive… That’s because it is. Don’t worry though, I’m still coding webpages and stuff! If you’re interested, I suggest you get a translator and head over to Qiwi; or you could just check the latest site we’ve been working on: Apotheek Goethals – Debrabandere. Enjoy!

Maks!

Axl Peleman feat. some French fries
Axl Peleman eating a delicious-looking pack of fries

Maks! started it all by launching this competition thing. You had to look for fries in the magazine itself, and count them. Whoever had the right number (I heard there were 10 of them) could bring up to four friends to Brussels, where they would get a pack of fries (of course!), a bus ride through the city (hosted by Reginald — respeKt!) and last but not least a concert of Axl Peleman (if you think you don’t know him, think again).

Anneleen actually counted the packs of fries, won, and chose some friends to go with — of which I turned out to be one. :) (Thanks again.) Karen also won, so we were eight in number.

I had a great time, especially after the bus ride. ;-) Somatic Avenue (they rock my socks off) was the support act. I saw them for the second time in my life, and they’re still as good. They finally found a semi-permanent title for their best song: Sex on the Beach. Too bad they didn’t come up with a (demo-)CD yet…
By the way, did you know Axl Peleman can do the beatbox?

And yes — I took some photos. I even posed with Axl and Hanne!

Nice contest. And the photos were great! :) But we really have to do something about those empty galleries showing without thumbnails…

Wow. That sounds like it was a lot of fun. Of course I don’t recognize either of the performers, but somehow I don’t think that matters much.

Luke: You’re not supposed to know Somatic Avenue, but I wasn’t sure if Axl Peleman/Camden is known internationally… I take it he isn’t then.

Lily: Well yeah, I’ve been there before…
