Need help… My sound recorder in XP pro will not save files as MP3. The layer 3 choice does not show up. My win 98 os has this choice. How do I get XP to display the Layer-3 format?

I recently had to reformat my Primary Drive and now, when I went to use my sound recorder, I notice that the MP3 layer is missing.

As with the majority of the people here, I’ve somehow managed to delete sound recorder. I Googled it to see if there was a place I could download it, but….no. Do any of you have any ideas?

Hi, i have sound recorder and a microphone that works. Suddenly it has stopped letting me record, and whenever i try it jut says … Your audio hardware cannot record into files like the current file. To record, create a new document. I havnt got a clue what to do though. Someone please help me though, i love singing and would really like to start recording again. Help please =] x
My Sound Recorder has been deleted, and I can’t get to it using those steps because I’m on Windows Vista. I tried running
sndrec32, but it said that the file didn’t exist.I have sound recorder and it was working with just my speakers whenever I record. Then, all of a sudden it wouldn’t pick up any sound at all. Does anybody know what to do?
